Bodegas Los Llanos
In Valdepeñas since 1875. Home of Pata Negra and Señorío de los Llanos, with one of the largest barrel cellars in Spain.
A tradition since 1875
Bodegas Los Llanos is located in Valdepeñas. It was founded in 1875 by the Caravantes family, who built a traditional Manchegan winery with clay jars (tinajas). In 1971, Vinos CASA acquired the property and added 1,500 barrels, producing crianza, reserva and gran reserva wines for the first time in Valdepeñas. The old winery, donated to the town of Valdepeñas in 2005, is preserved today as a museum.
In 2007, the García-Carrión family acquired the winery and drove a major modernisation, equipping it with the most advanced technology without losing its tradition in winemaking and ageing, and strengthening its two great brands: Pata Negra and Señorío de los Llanos.
Today it has a capacity of more than 85 million litres and one of the largest underground cellars in Spain, with around 7,000 m² and 60,000 barrels.
